Abstract: |
An arbitrary factor frame down-sampling of pre-coded video is required in many networked multimedia applications. In this paper, we propose a fast algorithm to down-sample video frames, by arbitrary factor, directly in DCT domain. Our experimental results show that the proposed algorithm generates down-sampled video with quality similar to existing algorithm due to Shu & Chau[1], however, at significantly reduced computational cost. |
